Procedure
- On a stir motor.
- Measure the temperature with the temperature probe.
- Add 40gm LiCl. Temperatures rises about 60 degrees Celcius.
Caution. Beaker gets hot enough to cause burns.
Reactions
LiCl (s) + H2O (l) --> Li+ (aq) + Cl- (aq)dH = -37.1 kJ/mole = -875 J/gm
