Chemical Odors

Procedure

Into 4 dram vials are placed cotton balls soaked with the following five chemicals. These are then passed out to the students for them to smell.

  1. benzaldehyde
  2. methyl salicylate
  3. d-carvone
  4. 1-carvone
  5. methyl anthranilate
